In my video, my goal was to recreate the energy and exploration from the late sixties and early seventies in San Francisco, California. My house is 45 minutes away from the city so I have spent a lot of time there. I have always loved San Francisco and the music that resulted from the counterculture which is why I decided on this topic. My video is a flashback in time to 1969. I wanted to create a visual experience that was similar to the imagery that the individuals in my video were seeing. To do so, I made a fast-paced, psychedelic video that recaptured the energy from San Francisco. The video represents my own interpretation of San Francisco from the Summer of Love. Each song characterizes a different aspect of life during the time. I wanted to capture a sense of community, love, acceptance, and creativity in my video. This was the first video project I had created and I was happy with how the video turned out.
