This project consisted of a film from the backseat of a car while driving through Wendy’s, found video from YouTube, and my animation. I created the main character, Wendy by combining the company’s logo with my drawings in Adobe Illustrator to have a character with limbs available for animation. I used Adobe After Effects to animate the daydream scene. In Adobe Premiere Pro, I then uploaded my animation and edited the real video footage to create the final product. The audio was found from various websites.
The most successful parts of my final project were the colorful found footage because it showed a clear transition from real life to the daydream as well as the playful animation. I was happy with the repeated audio saying, “this is a dream,” because it developed an ominous feeling when combined with the found footage. This was my first time using Adobe After Effects and I struggled to create realistic animation, which led me to develop the imaginary, warped feel to the animation. If I were to continue editing this project, I would have extended the animation and shorted the duration of the real-life video. I had a lot of fun making this project and playing with the various software.
