For my final project, I decided to create a website that incorporated some of my favorite themes from this semester. I really enjoyed using gifs this semester because of the visual illusion and movement associated with gifs. There is not a specific path that must be taken to win, you can go in any order and you will not necessarily see each page even if you succeed. vI played around with backgrounds, shapes, texts, and easter eggs to create a visual experience. Another topic we discussed this semester was whether an object on a screen is actually moving or whether it is simply just an illustration of something that is moving. The website also has a page about whether or not black is considered to be a color. The only way you can win or successfully complete the Webventure is when asked to pick a color, to select the black background. Then, you must confirm that black is a shade, not a color. Once you reach the “you are very smart” page, you can pick from two images that I created on Illustrator, which is a skill I acquired this semester. I really enjoyed this project because it allowed me to incorporate anything I wanted from this semester.
